There are a number of capital projects that need to be initiated and continued within the city in order to keep up with our current and future population base. This is in line with the national and provincial initiative to upgrade the infrastructure in the country.
The infrastructure replacement project within the city has been worked on over the past number of government terms. However, that work needs to continue in order to provide top notch water distribution and roadways that can support our current and future population.
The funds that will make the infrastructure improvements happen will come from the development cost charges which are charged to the developers when they come into White Rock. These charges will substantially reduce the tax burden of White Rock residents and business owners.
