Having a sense of being safe is one of the most important aspects of living in White Rock. On the policing side, the “no call too small” unofficial motto of our local RCMP detachment has held true for the past number of decades. I would like to keep it that way, especially in light of the growing population around us in South Surrey. I’m sure that I’m not alone in wanting to see White Rock keep its stellar low crime rate, and I would support initiatives to maintain that trend.
The White Rock Fire Department has always stepped up when needed. They are not just there ready to help in all emergency situations that arise within the City, but they are also diligent and respected ambassadors within the City. They arrange fund raisers and community open-house events that allow members of the public to view their state of the art fire-fighting equipment and their ability to cook fabulous burgers.
Our community has experienced one of the lowest crime rates in British Columbia.
As such, I want to make sure that trend remains the same. If elected, I will support our local RCMP as well as our fire services as much as possible, to be able to keep the quality of life that we all expect and deserve in White Rock
